Bishop's Castle Take Hwy. 115 down to Florence, then pick up 67 South to Wetmore, at stop sign turn right onto hwy. 96 to the top of Hardscrabble Pass (towards Westcliffe, CO.), you will see the turn off (left) for hwy. 165, this is a great "two lane" twisty road and as you head up, look for the "Bigalow Divide" sign, just a few miles up the road, look for a wide spot in the road with cars & bikes parked and stop and check out Bishop's Castle, Jim Bishop's family has been building a fantasy castle "by hand" for over 20 years!!

After checking out the castle, a few miles down the road (turn right) into the mountain lake town of San Isable and get a bite to eat at the local cafe, (Good Food) and check out the lake! From there, head south again on hwy. 165, this will take you thru Rye, CO. and end up at Colorado City on I-25, just gas up and blast back home on the slab, a great day ride!!
