Announcement

This was posted on the Tour of Honor Facebook page by Steve Brooks:

It is with sadness that we report that long-time Tour of Honor rider Dorsey Price has passed away. Dorsey was a born and raised in New Orleans where he and rider Al Cheramie became friends at the age of 14 and in the Civil Air Patrol together.

Because of Dorsey's involvement with the Civil Air Patrol, he was appointed to attend the Air Force Academy and shortly after graduation,
trained on F4 jets. He served three tours in Vietnam where he flew over 500 missions, then became an F4 instructor. It was during his last
tour that he had heavy contact with Agent Orange which eventually took his life.

It was around 2015 when Dorsey rekindled his friendship with Al Cheramie, and after learning that they both rode motorcycles, introduced Al to TOH and they were able to ride many miles together visiting memorials. In his later days, Al would assist Dorsey getting out of his
Slingshot and assist getting Dorsey's bags to his room.

Dorsey is now with his wife Anne, who passed in 2022. He will be cremated and interred at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. RIP, Dorsey.

Dorsey became a MTF Gold Member in March 2019. Click here for the announcement.

A few select comments from Dorsey's MTF Friends:

Sad news.   I met Dorsey as he signed off on my Sunrise to Sunset ride.    He will be missed.

I am truly saddened by his passing. We were friends and had great times together. Never a bad word or time just good thoughts. I will miss harassing our banter back and forth.

Well this sucks! Dorsey was a huge supporter of the MTF and LD communities. I saw Dorsey on many rides and on a yearly work trip to AZ for many years. He went out his way and brought me a m/c battery in Tucson during the ‘13 IBR when I needed one as I passed through.
RIP Dorsey!

Dorsey, my friend, so sorry to hear of your passing. I just saw a post from Larry Bell. We have known each other since we were kids and I had no idea the two of you had a connection.

We had a Moment of Silence to Honor Dorsey at Moonshine. Respects to his family.

What a great guy! Out of his way to help me out on my 100ccc, and never let me forget it. I’ll certainly miss him.
