RIP, Jim.  Sadly, three gone from my most memorable MTF trip (Lake Louise 2015, on the way to Hyder).
  -  Mike Borolla (Altonabout)

I am sorry to hear about Jim, he was a good friend. Inventor, creator and RallyMaster of the Not-Superman-Rally.
  -  Robert Rehkopf (SeabeeCapt)

So sorry to hear that Jim has gone on to the Big ride in the sky. It is hard to believe how many people we have lost from the Alaska Ride. That is a good picture of some of the people on the last trip. After my wife died I had planned to take off back up there. That ride has many good memories that will last a life time.
  -  Larry (aaarv1)

I thought Jim would ride forever. RIP.
  -  Dave Lampilla (Stonecritter)

Jim and I shared rides from Moonshine, to Chicago, to Big Sky, To Stagecoach.  He also ran the Not Superman Rallies out of Cape Girardeau, MO for 3 years.  No matter what Jim rode, I couldn't keep up with his pace.  He was one hell of a rider and it was my good fortune to have known him.  We shared 2 of Robert Torter's Big Sky rallies.  His motel room on the eastern side of the Going to The Sun road near St Marys saved my frozen butt after my 2 hour crossing at 2 am with only 1 of my R1200RT's headlights working. That was also the night we lost rider/Legend Dick Fish at the western entrance to Glacier.   Jim and I were supposed to ride together to Ron Ayres funeral service in Texas, but other plans kept him home.  I also road many miles with Jim and his son who went from pillion to rider RIP my friend.
