On a ride of this magnitude we do not want to make riders feel rushed or pressured to perform at any other level than one with which they're comfortable. Additionally, we want to ensure we structure our rides in such a way as to allow as many riders as possible to participate. Therefore, you can choose to start your journey on either Tuesday, May 17th or Wednesday, May 18th. Starting on the 17th means your 10th and final day is May 26th - the day before Hyder Seek. Starting on the 18th means your 10th and final day is May 27th - the first day of Hyder Seek.
Schedule for Riders Starting on May 17th
May 16th, 6:00pm CTPre-Ride Banquet for riders starting on the 17thWe will decide what everyone wants to eat and go from there (Dutch Treat). Tuesday, May 17,2005 5:00am CTRiders should be at the Shell Gas Station by 5:00am.

Shell
Hwy 70 By-Pass and OK-37
Idabel, OK
We will start releasing riders at 5:30am in
the Shell gas station parking lot. Riders will be
released a couple a time. We do not want riders riding in a pack for safety reasons.
Our goal is to get all riders out by 6:30am and release the witnesses by that
time. If you arrive at the staging area after 6:30am , you will
not be counted as part of the ride.
Have your witness form filled out and your odometer
reading recorded. The witnesses should simply have to fill in the time, their
personal information, and sign the form.
When you are ready to go, advise one of the witnesses.
They will validate your odometer reading and license plate number; and add
the time and their personal information to the witness form.
Once your witness form is signed. Notify the on-site
coordinator and he will direct you with regard to staging for
release.

Central Start Route - MS S&T 2004 File
Central Start Route - Garmin Map Source 6.5 - City Navigator North America v4.01 Important Note: There were issues routing through Canada using Mapsource 6.5, City Navigator v4 & v5 because a section of 97 is not present west of the TC-1/97 junction. Therefore, we routed through Whistler along 99. Excellent route, but not the most expeditious. Plan accordingly Central Start Route - Garmin Map Source 6.5 - City Navigator North America v6. Note: If you have City Navigator North America v6 use this file. The issues routing through Canada via the TC-1/97 junction were corrected in City Navigator North America v6. |
|
*The mandatory stops are "in or around" the city/place. ** Anywhere in the Kittery area. There's a 24 hour Howell's truck stop located at 103 US-1 Bypass. *** Anything in the Sumas, WA to Abbotsford, BC corridor |
