and the Desert

Join in for three days of varied riding south of Tucson, Arizona. We will ride in and around the Santa Rita Mountains, thru the San Rafael Valley and dodge cactus and thorny trees in the desert. Roads will be varied, from pavement and good graded gravel, to rocky mining and ranch roads, and some sand and gravel washes too! Riding will be on public roads with some on Arizona State Trust Lands. A Group Permit will be secured for these sections. Riding will begin each day at 9:30A at the Stage Stop Inn. Pavement and dirt will be around 50/50. Sections difficult for big bikes will have a go-around or alternatives. Street legal Dual Sport motorcycles are required for these roads. Displacement of 650cc or less is suggested although very experienced riders on larger machines are welcome. Make sure you have bush guards. Routes will be furnished as “track files” and a GPS is recommended, although we will ride as a group or groups, and a GPS is not mandatory. Riders should carry tire repair tools and patching gear. We will be riding in the High Season here as days are almost always sunny and daytime temps moderate. Early reservations are strongly recommended. Reserve now and cancel later if need be. Lodging and RV spaces will fill early.
