From http://www.mctourer.com/rides/2007/Founders/Feast.html
We changed the name of the Indiana Cookout to the Founder's Feast in 2005 so thinking that we might want to move the event from year to year. This will be the second year for the move. In 2006 we held the Founder's Feast in conjunction with the Inaugural Ride Around Texas (RAT), in Texarkana, Texas. This year we wanted to hold the event with either a Flower Sniff'n event or a Rough Road Ride. The Rough Road Ride won out and we will be holding the 2007 Founder's Feast in conjunction with the Southern Illinois Rough Road Ride (SIRRR) in Metropolis, Illinois.
Bob (bobmeinet) Fisher supplied this additional FF history:
Safety
In addition to requiring the use of a DOT approved helmet on all MTF rides, the MTF Flower Sniffin’ Committee strongly encourages the use of Motorcycle specific protective clothing and footwear while participating in any Flower Sniffin' event. All-the-gear-All-the-time (ATGATT) reduces the severity of injuries in an accident and we want every participant in our events to be as safe as possible. Also the MTF Flower Sniffin' Committee strongly encourages each participant in our events to self assess their riding style, interests, need for breaks and riding skill level and to keep that assessment in mind when choosing a riding partner or small group (2-4 riders) to ride with at our events. Sharing the road with someone of similar interests and riding style not only makes the ride more enjoyable for you, but safer for everyone.
COVID-19 Safety
We canceled this event last year due to our concerns
over your safety. We will do so again if necessary. In the meantime,
please check the Kentucky COVID-19 web page and keep up to date with
what's happening there.
Dinner locations for Wednesday,
Thursday and Friday night are still being worked on. As you know, the
pandemic has really hurt the restaurant industry.

The MTF certification team has been annointed by Mike Kneebone to approve and present SS1000 certificates for a Twentith Anniversury SS1000 ending at the host hotel in Lexington KY. You may start anywhere you wish and run an IBA qualified SS1000, checking in at the host hotel with one of the MTF Board of Directors members or one of the certification team, (Greg or Pat Blewett or Jeremy Lovall), after you get your ending receipt. All IBA rules and fees apply and if certified, you will receive your certificate at the Founder's Feast banquet on Saturday night. This is a great opportunity for IBA members to get a cert without waiting.

Route Description |
Special thanks to Bob Cust and Bob Moore for organizing and
supplying these routes for us! Routes will avoid the Interstates where possible but they are sometimes necessary to avoid places like the congested downtown of Lexington. |

Corvette Museum and Mammoth Cave | The entire route is approximately 346 miles, with 7 hours 57
minutes riding and 4 hours for stops, bringing the total to 11
